Added in update 1.1.0 (October 14, 2026)

Official patch notes name four seafood dishes and do not list full ingredient counts. Those counts stay blank until footage confirms them.

Spaghetti alle VongoleNew dish. Clams (vongole) can be caught in the sea and washed in a new mini-game.Official patch

The same update adds a Mechanical Press in the kitchen. It does not say which of these four dishes uses it.

What the official game confirms

Steam describes cooking as a core system and explicitly names pizza, pasta and bruschetta. The store also says new equipment and menu expansion are part of restaurant progression.

Prices, profit margins and unlock levels are added only when they can be read from the current build.

Useful recipe-system facts

  • The recipe book can be opened from the game and recipes can be pinned for convenience.
  • New recipes used to arrive as reputation / restaurant progression advanced (observed in full-release footage before 1.0.7). Since 1.0.7, new dishes are unlocked by buying them from the Recipe Book — see below.
  • Menu management matters: co-op footage shows players removing dishes they do not want dine-in guests to request.
  • Delivery orders may behave differently from the normal dine-in menu; this is a player-observed behavior and is covered in the delivery guide.

Update 1.0.7 (Sep 24) — the Recipe Book becomes a shop

The Sep 24 update is the biggest recipe change since launch: new dishes are now unlocked by buying them from the Recipe Book. Seven new recipes were added at the same time, and guests now place new orders built around the new dishes.

  • Where you buy: inside the Recipe Book itself — dish purchases happen in the book’s purchase window. The same patch notes fix that window: it now closes when the co-op host returns to the main menu, and the page switcher is now hidden in the recipe selection menu because it isn’t needed there.
  • What you spend: the notes don’t publish prices, so none are listed here. The Recipe Book shows the live price for each dish in-game — and the developer’s pre-release notes had already confirmed that recipe book prices follow the actual game config rather than placeholder values.
  • How dishes unlock now: by purchase. The older “arrives with reputation levels” pattern is kept above as history, not as the current rule.
  • Bookmarks no longer disappear after leveling up.

The 7 new recipes — the two names the developer confirmed

Official notes confirm seven new recipes but don’t list all the names. Two dishes were announced by name in the developers’ own posts around the update, and both shipped:

  • Pasta all’Amatriciana — the Sep 23 “Coming soon” post says it was added “to the in-game recipes in our next update” and describes the official process: make spaghetti by rolling dough into long strands, fry guanciale (spiced pork cheek, “the fancy Italian cousin of bacon”), simmer tomato sauce with the guanciale into a rich gravy, then toss the spaghetti in the sauce and finish with plenty of pecorino.
  • Jam Croissant — the Sep 18 dev diary shows the jam croissant in development, including the piping-bag animation, and says jam is one of three croissant filling options being worked on, alongside cream and chocolate. The 1.0.8 hotfix notes then confirm guests eating jam croissants in-game.

The other five dishes are not named in official announcements, so this page doesn’t guess at names — you will see the full list, and the price for each dish, in the Recipe Book’s purchase window and through the new guest orders.

Cooking fixes that shipped with 1.0.7

  • Tiramisu and Carbonara recipes fixed, along with the Arugula Salad assembly.
  • Lasagna sheets no longer clip through the workstation.
  • The cream sauce bowl no longer looks oversized when plating pasta.
  • Mascarpone no longer shows through the jar when making cream.
  • Auto-slicing now also works on the second inventory slot holding the same product, and the “Perfetto” slicing station now only cuts the product in the active slot.
  • Uncleaned fish now stack properly.
  • Grated Pecorino and grated Parmesan now have different icons.
  • Picking up coffee once again takes the player out of the minigame.

Update 1.0.9 (Oct 8) — City Map, six new dishes, recipe multipliers

The second roadmap update landed as 1.0.9. Three of its announced items shipped together:

  • Six new dishes and drinks join the Recipe Book: Trofie with Pesto, Trofie with Shrimp and Pesto, Mixed Antipasto (Antipasto Misto), Marocchino Coffee, Cream Croissant and Chocolate Croissant. The September 18 dev diary showed jam as one of three croissant fillings being worked on alongside cream and chocolate — both of the other two are now in the game.
  • Cooking stations gained recipe multipliers from x1 to x5, set by the machine’s grade or tier. This is the “prepare amounts at stations (x1-x5)” item from the Update 2 roadmap row, and it changes kitchen maths: an upgraded station does more per action than a basic one, before any recipe changes.
  • The City Map is live — a new city area to explore, covered on the shops and locations page.

Also in 1.0.9: lasagna assembly time was reduced, guest and delivery order pools were refreshed, the Guest Orders window was reworked, Build Mode now shows item names on hover, and bait and fish stack to 10 per inventory slot. Bug fixes cover auto-oil pouring, the General Controls window layout in Settings, audio and localization.

What the official roadmap says comes next

The After-Launch Roadmap post (Sep 22) lists the update series the developer is preparing. As of Sep 26, treat everything below the current build as announced, not live:

Roadmap updateAnnounced content
Update 1 — Cafe Life6 new recipes · Recipe purchases · Fast travel to the winery · Sync delivery orders with the daily menu · Perk management
Update 2 — New FeaturesCity map · 6 new recipes · Prepare amounts at stations (x1–x5)
Update 3 — Taste of the Sea4 new recipes · Vongole in the sea · 2 new minigames
Update 4 — OptimizationPerformance optimization · Bug fixes and stability improvements
Update 5 — Major Game ExpansionAnnounced without a feature list so far

Update 1 is the roadmap entry behind this release: recipe purchases and the new recipes shipped in 1.0.7 (the release notes count seven new recipes; the early roadmap list said six). Its other entries — fast travel to the winery, delivery-order sync with the daily menu, perk management — are not in the 1.0.7, 1.0.8 or 1.0.9 notes, so treat them as still upcoming. Update 2’s three items (city map, six new recipes, prepare amounts x1–x5) all shipped in 1.0.9 on October 8, so those roadmap rows are now live rather than announced.
